Among the VIPs at the 2022 edition of the Bardolino Porsche Classic, scheduled for Sept. 17-18 in the town on Lake Garda, will be Porsche driving instructor Matthias Hoffsümmer, known for setting what Porsche claims is the unofficial record for production cars in Australia’s Philip Island, 1:38.02.
Hoffsümmer drives Huber Racing’s #923 Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, which has participated in the 24H of Dubai and the 6H of Abu Dhabi. The car has also been piloted by the likes of Enrico Fulgenzi, Laurin Heinrich and Gabriel Rindone in the 992 Am class.
Matthias Hoffsümmer’s palmares include: in 2021 winning the top step of the podium, having finished first at the 6H Abu Dhabi – 991 and Hankook &H Abu Dhabi 2022; while in 2008 he had taken third place at the 24h Nürburgring – S1.
Matthias Hoffsümmer will participate as guest of honor at the Bardolino Porsche Classic 2022.
